What is the current situation of adult education in Catalonia? What are the needs and challenges? What actions for improvement are needed? We analyse the field of adult education in Catalonia to provide a vision and put forward proposals for a sector that needs urgent review.

Adult education (FpA) is a very weak sector, which has long been on the fringes of education policy, and which requires an urgent in-depth review to adapt to current educational needs.

This research project aims to make an analysis of the sector, identify actors and programmes, detect the needs and challenges and offer proposals for improvement in this area. For this, we have the collaboration of Milena Verrié and Aleix Caussa, and the participation of people and institutions with knowledge of the sector (adult education teachers, experts, public administrations that develop programmes in this field) and our work involves seminars to identify challenges and draw out proposals.

With this project we want to make a valuable contribution, with a vision and purposeful commitment that articulates a public discourse and challenges the actors involved through new lines of work that can contribute to the improvement of adult education in Catalonia.
