Education

Degree in Journalism from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and a Master’s in International Cooperation and Rural Development from the University of Guelph (Canada), thanks to a scholarship from the La Caixa Foundation.

Experience

She has lived and worked most of her professional career abroad, in Colombia, Canada, and Brussels, coordinating projects for international organizations in the fields of human rights and development cooperation.

Over the past ten years, she has worked specifically in project management, fundraising, and coordination of calls at the European, national, and regional levels.

When she is not looking for funding, she sews, knits and crochets, takes care of her two cats, and goes for walks in nature. A lifelong textile enthusiast, she completed four years of training in sewing and tailoring in Brussels, where for eight years she paused her social sector work to lead the creation and management of a non-profit organization (La Transformathèque) focused on promoting textile recycling and zero waste through sewing. She is active on Pinterest (@larutbxl) and created La Tutothèque, a multilingual platform of textile creation and recycling tutorials for all audiences.
