With the VT XXI project we want to contribute to the design of vocational training policies, starting from a global vision of the project’s role as a link between the education system and professional activity, suggesting proposals for the roll out of public policies to strengthen it.
Josep Francí
Josep Francí holds a bachelor’s degree in Education Sciences and Philosophy. From 2011 to September of 2021, he was the director for Professional Qualification and Territory of the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce and a member of that organisation’s Board of Directors. From 2004 to 2011, he was, successively, the director general for Vocational Training; the director general for Vocational Training and Continuous Education; and the director general for Vocational, Artistic and Specialised Education of the Government of Catalonia’s Education Department. From 1999 to 2004, he was the director for Business Training of the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce.
Between 1994 and 1999, he was a training consultant for businesses and he coordinated various European projects and international cooperation projects in the training field. From 1990 to 1994, he worked as the training technician and head of Continuous Training Programmes of the University of Barcelona’s Institute of Education Sciences (ICE), and between 1982 and 1990, he was a vocational training teacher. He is the author of numerous articles and other publications on vocational training.
