Eva Queralt
Eva Queralt began her professional activity by working at the same time as she completed her secondary education. She focused her learning and specialities on the private companies and multinational corporations where she was employed, including General Motors Financial Services (GMAC) and the American enterprise Grace SA. She formed part of the team that opened the Hilton Barcelona Hotel. In 1990 she joined the controlling area of Boehringer Mannheim – subsequently Roche Diagnostics – where she specialised in industrial costs planning and analysis and took part in the development of the SAP R/3 system (FI/CO module). She completed her education with specific training in the spheres of organisation, management processes and results analysis.
In the year 2000 she took a sabbatical to study Creative Narrative at the School of Humanities in the Ateneu Barcelonès. She was one of the 21 authors from the Ebro River area featured in the collection of short stories Estius a l’Ebre, published by Aeditors.
On completing this period, she reoriented her activities with motivation and determination, devoting herself to the third sector. In the academic year 2000-2001, she took the training course “Management of Non-Profit Entities” held by ACESP. She has been the manager of various entities in the social world, including Desenvolupament Comunitari and Ravaltext. Eva Queralt has been the manager of Fundació Jaume Bofill since 2006.
She believes that utopia is the greatest act of trust in oneself and in the world.
