The aim of the meeting was twofold. It both builds on the success of the IAU HEEFA (Higher Education for Higher Education for All) project, acting as its concluding event and it bridges the outcomes of HEEFA to Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Education) and the UNESCO Framework for Action that is linked to it.  It provided an opportunity for the higher education community to discuss the place and role of higher education in the international 2030 agenda for education.

Consequently, the International Conference convened representatives of the IAU international HEEFA Reference Group, as well as university leaders and other higher education stakeholders.

Meeting organized by:

The International Association of Universities and the Jaume Bofill Foundation

With the collaboration of:

Association of Public Catalan Universities (ACUP) & Global University Network for Innovation (GUNi), the Association of Swedish Higher Education (SUHF), UNESCO and Via Universitària.

With the support of:

The Catalan Secretariat for Foreign and European Union Affairs, Sant Pau Knowledge Center, and the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA)
