Jordi Sanz

Doctor in Sociology (2011) from the University of Lancaster (UK), a master’s degree in Research Methodology in Health Sciences (2017) and a diploma in Advanced Studies in Social Psychology (2003) from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). He has a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the UAB (1999) and has taken part in various research projects in social policy, in the areas of health, old age, youth, new technologies and immigration. He was a consulting professor at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya where he taught sociology, social psychology and qualitative research methods.

Since October 2009 he has been working as an analyst at the Institut Català d’Avaluació de Polítiques Públiques (Ivàlua), where he coordinates the What Works in Education? and Schools of Evidence initiatives. Also at Ivàlua, he recently participated in the evaluation of the First Home Programme, Activate for Mental Health and the Home Debt Intermediation System. His specialist areas in Ivàlua are multimethod evaluation projects, systematic literature reviews, and the use of qualitative techniques applied to public policy evaluation.
