Fiorella Haim Fiorella Haim obtained a degree in Electronic Engineering from the Universidad de la República
(Uruguay) in 2002, and a Master of Science degree from the University of Maryland (USA) through a Fulbright
scholarship in 2005. From 2006 to 2009, she was Head of LATU Electronics Department and lead of Plan
CEIBAL Technical Area. Since the creation of Centro Ceibal in 2010, she is the Operations Manager of Plan
CEIBAL; since 2012, she is Deputy General Manager, and in March 2016, she became Centro Ceibal’s General
Manager. Since 2001, she has taught at the Institute of Electrical Engineering of the School of Engineering
(UdelaR) in the area of digital systems; she is an Adjunct Professor since 2013. She has worked professionally
in Biomedical Engineering, Industrial Control and Integration of Electronic Applications projects, and has
published papers in different journals being a member of the National Researchers System from 2008 to
2012. She was the winner of the first edition of the Ada Byron Award for Women Technologists in Uruguay, in
2021. Since 2022, she has been a member of the group of experts that supports and advises the Special
Parliament Commission on the Future, focusing on the Future of Work and the Work of the Future.
