Rosa Sala Aguiló

Graduate in Economics from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), 1989. Master’s degree in European Economic Integration at the UAB and master’s degree in Economic Development and the Environment (University of East Anglia, Norwich, UK). Rosa Sala Aguiló’s volunteering and professional activities have been linked to cooperation, managing humanitarian response projects (Rwanda, 1995-1997), and development (Morocco, 2000-2003) and political incidence projects (impact of extractive industries on Western and Central Africa, 2005-2008). 

At present she is the Programme Operations Director at Oxfam International, the body coordinating the activities of the various members of Oxfam in over 60 different countries. The fight against gender violence and the economic and social promotion of women in a situation of vulnerability are two of the main lines of her professional endeavours.
