Joan Abellà i Barril

Joan Abellà holds a master’s degree in Law from the University of Barcelona (UB) and completed the ESADE Management Development Programme. He also holds several ESADE and IESE degrees in cultural management, management coaching, and digital marketing. An expert on the management of teams and talent in the world of culture, he worked as a legal advisor at the Filmoteca de Catalunya (Catalan Cinematheque), the Espai de Dansa i Música (Dance and Music Space) and L’Auditori, and he has directed such important institutions as the Poble Espanyol (Spanish Village) of Barcelona, the MACBA (Barcelona Museum of Contemporary Art), and Gaudí’s Casa Vicens. Additionally, he has held different responsibilities in such cultural entities as the Tot Raval Foundation, the Joan Brossa Foundation, the Unesco Centre of Catalonia, and the TR3SC, Culture Club. At present he is the CEO of the Enciclopèdia Group.
