PERSPECTIVES INTERNACIONALS D'EDUCACIÓ:
Presentació a Barcelona del nou informe de la UNESCO "Educació per tothom 2000-2015" a càrrec d'Aaron Benavot, director de l'EFA GMR; Marta Soler, professora de Sociologia de la Universitat de Barcelona; Isabelle Turmaine, Directora de la iniciativa Higher Education for Education For All (HEEFA); Xavier Bonal, professor del Departament de Sociologia de la Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona i Antoni Verger, investigador "Ramón y Cajal" a la UAB.
El nou informe és l'instrument primordial per avaluar els progressos mundials en la consecució dels 6 objectius quinzenals fixats al World Education Forum l'any 2000 a Dakar, en el que ha estat una de les campanyes educatives més importants de tots els temps. L'informe permet conèixer les polítiques i les pràctiques que han ajudat o obstaculitzat una millor educació per tothom, així com la influència de les tendències de finançament intern i els fluxos internacionals d'ajuda. Finalment, l'informe proporciona recomanacions clares per ajudar els líders polítics mundials, regionals i nacionals a definir la fita i els objectius de l'educació post 2015.
Passats aquests 15 anys des de l'establiment dels Objectius del Mil·leni, ens trobem en un moment d'inflexió important. 2015 és l'any clau en la definició de l'agenda política mundial per als propers 15 anys. És important que des de Catalunya també participem en aquest debat, que ens sumem a la necessitat de pensar els nous objectius de l'agenda educativa internacional. Així com són molts els països i organitzacions d'arreu del món que estan implicats en aquesta missió, des de Catalunya podem aportar també propostes per seguir treballant. És per això que el Centre per la UNESCO de Catalunya i la Fundació jaume Bofill estan impulsant la iniciativa http://www.EduPost2015.cat (en la que s'emmarca aquest acte).

The new report is the prime instrument to assess global progress in achieving the six goals set fortnightly at the World Education Forum in 2000 in Dakar, which was one of the most important educational campaigns of all time. The report provides information on policies and practices that have helped or hindered a better education for everyone, as well as the influence of trends in domestic financing and international aid flows. Finally, the report provides clear recommendations to help political leaders worldwide, regional and national landmark in defining the objectives of education and post 2015.
After 15 years since the establishment of the Millennium Development Goals, we are at a major turning point. 2015 is the key year in defining the global political agenda for the next 15 years. It is important from Catalonia also participate in this debate, we endorse the need to think of new educational objectives of the international agenda. As well as many countries and organizations around the world that are involved in this mission, from Catalonia can also provide suggestions for further work. That is why the UNESCO Centre of Catalonia and the Jaume Bofill Foundation are driving the initiative http://www.EduPost2015.cat (framed in this event).
