Carla Escudero

Carla Escudero is a graduate in Pedagogy from the University of Barcelona (UB) and has completed a master’s degree in Psychopedagogy with specialisation in the educational and socio-community field. She has also carried out a programme of the association Aprenentatge Servei as a facilitator at a correctional centre and she has done volunteer work with people with functional diversity. At present she works as a facilitator in the programme LECXIT-Reading for Educational Success in the city of El Prat de Llobregat.

She describes herself as an enthusiastic person who is glad to take part in the struggle against social injustices. Carla considers education to be a tool that gives people independence and freedom, and she believes that education should always be provided from the standpoint of gender and social awareness.
