With the VT XXI project we want to contribute to the design of vocational training policies, starting from a global vision of the project’s role as a link between the education system and professional activity, suggesting proposals for the roll out of public policies to strengthen it.
Xavier Farriols
Xavier Farriols holds a bachelor’s degree in Modern and Contemporary History. From 2001 to 2011, he was the deputy director general for Vocational Training of the Government of Catalonia’s Education Department. From 2002 to 2012, he was the executive secretary of the Catalan Council for Vocational Training, and from 1993 to 2000, he was a senior high expert of the European Commission (Directorate-General for Employment and Education, Brussels). Likewise, from 1986 to 1992, he was the coordinator of the Transition to Work Plan, and from 1976 to 1986, he was a vocational training teacher.
He has taken part in numerous congresses, conferences and seminars, both national and international, in Europe and the Americas, and he has published various books, articles and other documents on vocational training and counselling.
