“Educational Support. Accompanying to accelerate opportunities” is an innovative programme intended to make it possible for all children and teenagers to be as well-equipped as possible to have successful educational careers, no matter what their starting conditions are.
Lídia Climent
As a graduate in Journalism at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) with the specialisation of Human Rights and Development Cooperation, Lídia Climent has held various positions in international NGOs. This has required spending her time between Catalonia and the USA, with a long parenthesis in Guatemala, where she obtained first-hand experience working with several organisations devoted to access to education for vulnerable communities, an activity which enabled her to learn all about the importance of education as an instrument of social transformation.
Over the course of her career, Lídia Climent has directed international teams and projects, designed and carried out strategic plans, and developed and implemented educational projects for vulnerable children and young people.
She has carried out strategic and leadership functions in organisations in New York and Guatemala, most recently including AECC and Doctors of the World.
Whenever she has had the chance, Lídia has acted as a volunteer, mentor and activist in different civil society organisations.
