With the VT XXI project we want to contribute to the design of vocational training policies, starting from a global vision of the project’s role as a link between the education system and professional activity, suggesting proposals for the roll out of public policies to strengthen it.

School funding is the foundation of the school system. It determines how many and what resources (human, monetary, material, training...) reach schools and colleges so that they can offer educational opportunities to their students.

Catalonia has an outstanding challenge in using research to lead the education system and respond to the challenges linked to education. We are committed to research to improve the country’s education!

Devices, connectivity, guidance and basic training are not enough to ensure that the digitalisation of education promotes more effective learning and bridges the digital gap. This is why pedagogical designs are needed to help teachers and schools apply digital technologies with active and competent methodologies.

EDhack is a civic space where you can generate ideas and projects through collaboration. At EDhack, the people involved share their expertise to find solutions and overcome far-reaching educational challenges (feminism, sustainability, lifelong learning, culture, etc.). It is a co-creation community education lab.

A meeting space between teachers and educational researchers to share evidence and practices on various dimensions related to education.

An Edcamp is a gathering which is free and open to everyone. It aims to share learning, knowledge and the concerns of educators, so that participants can develop personally and professionally, to transform education.

Why open up education? Against educational inequalities. Due to the coronavirus crisis this year, children and young people may be out of school for six months. If we add the summer break to the final term of the 19/20 school year, which was online learning, children and young people are unlikely to set foot in the classroom until next year.

What Works in Education? is an initiative to collect and disseminate what we know about the effectiveness of educational interventions, in order to inform decision-making processes.

Many of the challenges we now face regarding our country’s education are not new. They do however take on a special relevance at this time; the current social and economic context allows us to consider our educational commitments in greater depth and with more ambition than in recent years.

With the aim of helping to renew the debate on the school timetable, the Fundació Jaume Bofill and the Federació de Moviments de Renovació Pedagògica have compiled a document with proposals to define a new horizon of school hours for the country, reflecting the educational and social challenges of today.

The Futures of Education forum is a group of schools, and those linked to them, that wanted to contribute collectively to the global debate on the Futures of Education promoted by UNESCO, which, over two years (20/21), aims to reimagine how knowledge and learning can shape the future of humanity and the planet, and what type of education is needed.

The REFORMED project (Reforming Schools Globally: A Multi-Scalar Analysis of Autonomy and Accountability Policies in the Education Sector) aims to explore the implementation of decentralisation, school autonomy and accountability policies (through external tests such as basic skills tests) in different education systems. In particular, it explores how management teams and teaching staff perceive, interpret and implement these policies in their schools.

A diagnosis of additional school support in Catalonia, with which we want to identify what needs to be done to place additional school support as a key element in the fight against educational inequality and, therefore, as the line of action in an oriented educational policy for educational success.

We are looking for 30 schools that wish to take a leap forward in the use of research to improve teaching practice and student learning.

The Fundació Jaume Bofill Classroom is a space for participation and debate to find solutions to educational challenges. The aim of this series of events is to discuss proposals and solutions to the main challenges identified in the Fundació’s own research, or in those of others.
