Foundation

What and how

The Bofill Foundation is a non-profit organization created in 1969 with the goal of promoting the transformation and social change of our country.

We are a research and proposal laboratory focused on the field of education that we work to promote research, debates and initiatives to generate educational opportunities and combat social inequalities.

We act freely and independently in relation to public administrations, political parties, religious denominations, and economic interests. The Bofill Foundation, in accordance with the mandate of its founders, does not shy away from any issues that may contribute to building a more just and democratic society.

There are many challenges ahead to improve society, but since 2009 at the Foundation we have been committed to improving education as a lever for social improvement. We believe that if we build a system truly inclusive, equitable education that generates valuable and meaningful learning, and leaves no one behind, we will contribute to a better society. Therefore, we work to create new proposals, rigorous knowledge and consensus to improve the quality and equity of the Catalan education system.

To do this, we collaborate with university academic groups, experts in the world of education, public administration, researchers, school principals, teachers, activists, parent movements and mothers… to propose initiatives and solutions to some of the main educational challenges we have as a country.
